Application and Database Services
The purpose of the Department of Application and Database Services is to support administrative and academic functions critical to the University of Wyoming mission by partnering with our customers to implement and maintain technology solutions to meet the information needs of staff, faculty, and students.
Application and Database Services manages administrative applications and databases, addresses administrative software security and database access issues, develops custom solutions to unique problems and provides technology project management and business process improvement to the UW community. Application and Database Services is divided into five distinct units:
Project Support Services

Consolidation
Student Information Systems
Leader: Julie Schroyer, Project Manager
Key Responsibilities: Banner, WyoWeb portal,
Application Manager job scheduling, Operational Data Store (ODS)
enterprise wide student-related reporting, Outreach support
applications, mobile application development, interfaces of
student data to internal and external systems)
Administrative Systems
Leader: Jennifer Chavez, Project Manager
Key Responsibilities: PeopleSoft Financials
(includes enterprise-wide financial reporting and IT’s project
tracking system), PeopleSoft HRMS (includes self-service
applications, eRecruiting and ePerformance, Non-credit courses
and conferences, Challenge Grant), Advance (alumni and donor
tracking system) AXIS telephone billing, ITSM incident tracking
, InfoEd grant tracking, Singularity and ImageNow document
imaging systems, software database for IT, custom web
development for departments and interfaces of related data to
internal and external systems
Department Systems
Leader: Jim Berrigan, Project Manager
Key Responsibilities: While this group managers
any IT-related project for the following departments, specific
software areas include Libraries systems (Millenium, others),
Residence Life and Dining systems (RMS, CBORD, NetNutrition,
others), Student Health systems (MediCat, CardioPerfect,
others), Blumen (for SEO)
Database Office
Leader: Cheryl Collins, Database Administrator
Key Responsibilities: all facets of database
installation, maintenance, performance, patching and support,
application server support for Banner and related systems,
application security for many of the applications supported by
ADS, quality assurance for movement of code between development
and production instances
