Student Email is Moving to the Cloud Over Winter Break
Beginning Friday, December 14, most UWYO students and non-benefited employees email accounts will be moving to Office 365, a Microsoft cloud-based computing solution. Benefitted faculty & staff and special accounts will be moved in the future. Email accounts moved to Office 365 will have 25 GB of storage.
Office 365 and local UW email servers, supporting faculty and staff, will continue to function as a single integrated system; therefore the procedures for sending email to or scheduling appointments with other UWYO users will not change.
Once an email account has been moved to Office 365, users may need to reconfigure some of their devices, such as smartphones and other mobile devices to access their email. IT will soon send instructions to users whose email is being moved to Office 365 with detailed information on how to reconfigure smartphones, iPads and other devices.
