WyoSecure - Virtual Private Networks (VPN)

UW IT provides an SSL-based VPN solution to allow users convenient access to internal campus resources. In May, 2015, UW IT upgraded the SSL-based VPN solution to replace Network Connect with the Junos Pulse client.

IT recommends that users review the WyoSecure VPN Frequently Asked Questions for more information about this change, including installation directions also found here. Particularly note, that once installed, the Junos Pulse client does not require java to connect to VPN services.

To use WyoSecure VPN:

  1. Verify that you are using a supported operating system (OS), web browser and Java environment.

  2. Only browsers that support Java or Active X can be used to install the Junos Pulse client. Firefox or Internet Explorer are the preferred browsers to install Junos Pulse. The current version of the install client has known compatiability issues with other browswers such as Safari and Chrome.

  3. Connect to WyoSecure. Go to https://wyosecure.uwyo.edu in your web browser and log in with your UWyo username and password.
