The Ellipse 2.4 takes advantage of the new 2.4 GHz radio band. As a newly-allocated frequency, 2.4 GHz is significantly less crowded than 900 MHz (the old "standard"). Ellipse users enjoy improved sound quality and lack of interference on this broader bandwidth, plus increased range (200 ft) and enhanced call security.  This item is compatible with all phone sets offered through UW.
