INST 2200 Study Abroad Preparation Course

INST 2200 is a one-credit class which prepares students for study in a foreign locale.  Consisting of six two-hour sessions (pre-departure) and one three-hour session (upon return to UW), this course will  help students  adapt to and understand their host country.  General topics will include cultural adjustment, cross-cultural communication, health and safety, and travel documents. Students will also begin to familiarize themselves with the history, geography, and the sociopolitical/socioeconomic contexts of their respective study abroad location.
