Council on Foreign Relations (Unpaid) the Council on Foreign Relations is an independent and a nonpartisan center for scholars dedicated to producing and disseminating ideas so that policymakers, journalists, students, and interested citizens in the United States and other countries, can better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other governments.

Cross Cultural Solutions (Fee-based) - More than 10,000 volunteers have participated in Cross-Cultural Solutions programs around the world and each volunteer has had the opportunity to work closely with local people and experience volunteering in a new way.

Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD) (Fee-based) - FSD supports the efforts of grassroots development organizations in Latin America, East Africa, and Asia that are working to better the communities, environments, and the economic opportunities around them. FSD aims to raise international awareness of the economic challenges in developing countries and support cross-cultural communities in finding more effective solutions to development issues.

Global Youth Connect (Unpaid) Global Youth Connect is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to develop and implement programs that support and inspire the passions and lives of youth and help create change on a wide variety of human rights and social justice issues around the world.

Institute for Policy Studies (Unpaid) - For more than four decades, IPS has transformed ideas into action for peace, justice, and the environment. The Institute has strengthened and linked social movements through articulation of root principles and fundamental rights, research and analysis on current events and issues, and connections to policymakers, academics, and activists at all levels.

Institute of International Education (Paid) - The Institute of International Education (IIE), Office for Latin American in Mexico City, has hosted an internship program for over 25 years for undergraduate or graduate students who wish to gain experience in an international non-profit organization. The office seeks candidates for the internship program in two separate administrative offices within IIE/Latin America: the Scholarship Division and the Educational Advising Division.

Mike and Maureen Mansfield Foundation - The Foundation promotes understanding and cooperation among nations and peoples of Asia and the United States. The Foundation sponsors exchanges, dialogues and publications that create networks among U.S. and Asian leaders, explore the underlying issues influencing public policies, and increase awareness about the nations and peoples of Asia.

Meridian International Center (small stipend) - Non-profit agency that promotes international understanding through outreach, exchange, and arts programs.

Namlo International - Namlo International provides an opportunity for education to children in remote villages in Nepal and Nicaragua by working with the local people to help them build their schools. In addition, it helps local communities gain self-sufficiency through sustainable development.

NGO Abroad provides frugal, customized international volunteer options and helps people enter international humanitarian work. Volunteer opportunities include: women's rights and building a girls' school in Africa; community development in Nepal; gleaning the lessons from development success in India; democracy building and human rights - Africa; community development in post-conflict Africa; conflict resolution in post-conflict Africa; literacy and "post traumatic" journalism in refugee camps; AIDS education; trafficking; education, health & community development in Andes; human rights and AIDS in Central America.

Phelps Stokes Fund - The mission of the Phelps Stokes Fund is to address the educational needs of the urban and rural poor of Africa, the African Diaspora, and the United States with particular attention to the needs of people of color and Indians of the Americas.

Riverhill Farm - Riverhill Farm is a small-scale farm in northern California. Its mission is to be an economically viable farm while maintaining and enhancing the natural envi ronment . Riverhill Farm offers up to four internships each season to individuals wishing to learn the practical skills of farming or for individuals simply wishing to experience work on a farm. We offer both a formal and an informal learning experience, with daily hands-on work, discussion, and special projects for those interested in a more in-depth learning experience and sustainable farming practices.

Russian/American Chamber of Commerce - The internship program provides young professionals interested in US-Russian business, economic and foreign relations the opportunity to work on individual and group projects in this field, and to gain professional experience and insights to further their career aspirations.

Wyoming Conservation Corps (WCC) – Paid Internship - The WCC connects young adults in Wyoming to hands-on natural resource and environmental management through community service projects that maintain Wyoming’s public lands.
