Anne Alexander is an economist and Director of International Programs at the University of Wyoming.  She earned her Ph.D. in Economics at UW. Dr. Alexander’s research and teaching focuses on international economics, health economics, energy economics, and political economy.  She served on the Wyoming Legislature’s Nuclear Energy Task Force and she regularly gives talks to business groups around the state about the status of the Wyoming, US, and global economies.  She has authored several publications on the political and economic impacts of transboundary pandemics; the productivity effects of various diseases; and the economic value of global ecosystem services. She has served as a Resources Economist in the U.S. Department of State, Assistant Dean of the UW College of Business, and Director of the interdisciplinary Health Economics Policy Center at UW.
