Manuela Hofer-McIntyreManuela Hofer-McIntyre, Academic Advising and Special Projects Coordinator, Global & Area Studies

Manuela Hofer-McIntyre, an Austrian native, completed her graduate degrees in English and American Culture Studies and in Media Communications and Journalism at the Alpen-Adria Universität in Klagenfurt, Austria. She spent one semester at the University of West Florida, Pensacola, where she did extensive research for her thesis in 2002. She moved to Laramie in 2005 and started working at the University of Wyoming a few years after her relocation to the United States.

Manuela is responsible for all undergradudate advising matters for the Global & Area Studies Program. She is the project coordinator for the program's scholarships, student internships, and the Masters International Peace Corps Program. Manuela teaches the Freshmen Proseminar Introduction to International Studies and the Study Abroad course, is the advisor to the International Studies Student Club and the Freshmen Interest Group Gateway to the World. She has also been been key to expanding international programming to communities around Wyoming. She organizes and coordinates speakers, outreach, logistics, marketing and advertising for the multiple events Global & Area Studies brings to Wyoming each year.
