Assistant Professor
Biomechanics

RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am interested in injury biomechanics and sports biomechanics. I utilize motion, force, EMG measurements, and musculoskeletal modeling to understand the mechanism of exercise and sports related injuries and provide information for injury prevention and post-injury rehabilitation. I investigated the injury mechanism of ACL injuries, ACL re-injuries, ankle sprain, and low back injuries. I also conducted technique analysis for elite discus and javelin throwers. I am particularly interested in applying the knowledge of biomechanics to the developments of effective and efficient injury screening tools and injury prevention programs.
