BACKGROUND

Tristan Wallhead came to the United States from England after serving as a physical education teacher at a high school with Sports College status for six years. He was offered a doctoral position at the Ohio State University to continue his research on the Sport Education curriculum model. The excellent reputation of the Physical Education Teacher Education (PHET) program at the University of Wyoming brought Tristan to Wyoming in the summer of 2004 after graduation. He continues to conduct research on sport-based physical education curricular programs including Sport Education and the Tactical Games approach and currently investigates the effects on students' motivation to participate in extracurricular physical activity programs. He enjoys playing soccer, badminton, fishing and skiing.
