January 29, 2014 — Governor Matt Mead is proposing that Wyoming and private partners invest in a world-class research center to develop and test new uses for carbon captured from coal-based power plants.

December 11, 2013 — Governor Mead released a statement providing information on his proposal to include a $3 Million allocation in the state budget to address an estimated backlog of 1,220 abandoned wells on state and private land in Wyoming.

April 2, 2013 — Two University of Wyoming College of Law teams finished among the top eight teams during the recent third annual National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition at the West Virginia University College of Law.
