Tonya was awarded the Employee of the Third Quarter in 2013 for her outstanding work and dedication to the University of Wyoming. She was nominated for the University of Wyoming's 2013 Outstanding Employee of the Year. These awards recognize UW staff members for their efforts toward excellence in the workplace.
These nominations/awards are honoring the hard-working staff of the University of Wyoming. Faculty, staff and students vote for staff in recognition of how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the main UW campus, and the facilities throughout the community, the State of Wyoming, etc... functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students. These nominations are campus/UW outreach wide which makes it a very highly prestigious award for the staff.
“I have never heard her say that she was too busy to help someone and never heard the statement, 'This cannot be done.' Regardless of the request, it is attended to in a competent and good-natured manner,” a nominator wrote.
Another added, “Tonya helps to improve the environment of the department by making sure all information, equipment and methods are up to date. She is very welcoming to students, faculty, and visitors that come to the department. I think with the commitment, high quality and improvement to our departmental community, she is an example for other departments to follow suit.”
“I really like the faculty, staff and students I work with. They all support me in my efforts to have an enjoyable office and attitude that makes others feel comfortable,” says Anderle, who started her current position in 2009. Before that, she worked in Conferences and Continuing Education from 2007-09 and was with the Office of Teacher Education during 2006-07.
“Three of the most reliable and supportive people I have worked with are Christi Hutchison, Jerry Hamann and Theresa Lucero,” Tonya says.
