Vonnie is the University of Wyoming's 2011 Outstanding Employee of the Year. This award recognizes UW staff members for their efforts toward excellence in the workplace.

She was nominated by her fellow staff members for her outstanding work and dedication to the College of Law. While leading the College of Law's computer support efforts, she also serves as a Site Engineer for ExamSoft Worldwide Inc. and the Colorado Supreme Board of Law Examiners.

"Her work is exemplary. She sets high expectations and meets them, and is a team leader who promotes quality discussion on every project," writes one nominator. "I have rarely seen a worker who is so diligent about ensuring that her work output is of the highest quality. She always strives to provide excellent customer service to all, including faculty, staff and students."

Another writes, "She is always happy to take on any duty that comes across her desk and she is always offering to help others even if she is working on other projects. She is open to new ideas and is always willing to think creatively to address problems we encounter in our workplace."
