Brittaney McGinnis is a third year law student at the University of Wyoming College of Law.  Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Brittaney earned her bachelors degree in Business Administration in Economics from West Texas A&M University. With a passion for family law issues, the opportunity to participate in the Legal Clinics at Wyoming was a major factor in her decision to attend.

"The experience that you gain in the clinic extends far beyond what you can learn in a classroom," she says. "This is true hands on legal work with actual client representation that involves drafting pleadings, court appearances, and interaction within the local legal community. Additionally, I believe that students in the Family and Child clinic are particularly lucky to be able to work under the Director, Dona Playton.  She shows true dedication and devotion to the Family law field throughout the entire State of Wyoming, and the possibility of working so closely and learning from a mentor with so much knowledge and experience is what drove me to apply for the Student Director position."

Brittaney has already appeared in court on numerous occasions this year on behalf of her clients in the Clinic.
