Legal Practicums

estate Planning Practicum

Student Practicum Director: Kellie Evans

Kellie Evans comes to Wyoming from Peyton, Colorado. She attended Colorado State University - Pueblo for her undergraduate education, earning a bachelors degree in Political Science in 2015.

Following graduation, Kellie interned at the Pueblo District Attorney's Office, which inspired her to pursue a law degree.

Kellie was attracted to the University of Wyoming by the clinical programs. She believes that they are wonderful at gearing students up for the real world and wanted to gain that practical experience during her education.

While in law school, Kellie has externed for Equal Justice Wyoming and worked in the Equal Opportunity Report and Response Office for the University of Wyoming, a position that she will continue to occupy in a part-time capacity throughout the academic year.

Kellie was drawn to the Estate Planning Practicum because she believes that it is a very practical area of the law that everyone can benefit from.

"I have had experience in the past working with low-income/indigent individuals and it is something I am passionate about," she says. "I especially value the work that the clinics do because I believe that legal justice should be accessible to all individuals, not just the rich (it's a common misconception that only the wealthy should do any estate planning, especially)."
