Civil Legal Services Clinic

Student Clinic Director: Zach Leininger

Coming to Wyoming from La Junta, Colorado, Zach Leininger serves as the Student Director for the Civil Legal Services Clinic. He earned his Associates degree from Garden City Community College in Agricultural Economics, and his Bachelor of Science from West Texas A&M University in Economics and Law in 2016.

Though he grew up on a cattle ranch in southeast Colorado, The University of Wyoming was the only place that he even considered applying to for law school. With multiple family ties to the area and the University, Leininger was excited to be a part of that educational tradition.

Encouraged by upper classman to participate in the clinic, He participated as the summer intern and loved the experience so much that he applied of the Student Director positions when it became available.

Thus far in his clinical experiences, he has mainly worked on divorce cases, and landlord tenant cases. He is schedule to appear in the District Court of Wyoming for the Eighth Judicial District in February.

In addition to the Civil Legal Services Clinic, Leininger has participated in the 2017 Voir Dire Competition. He is also a member of the Sports & Entertainment Law Club, the Environment and Natural Resources Law Club, and the Student Chapter of the WTLA.
