Student Clinic Director: Mackenzie Morrison

A native of Cody, Wyo., Mackenzie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wyoming in 2017. After taking an Introduction to Criminal Justice course in her undergrad, Mackenzie had her sights set on law school, finishing her degree with a concentration in Pre-law.

Since coming to law school, Mackenzie has displayed the same drive and exuberance for her career path as she did in her prior studies. She has volunteered her time among several law school organizations including serving as the Women of the Week Committee Chair for the Women’s Law Forum, serving as the 1L Representative and Public Relations Representative for the Potter Law Club, and continues to serve in the College of Law Mentorship Program as a student ambassador.

Her accomplishments and drive for excellence also led to her selection as a finalist for the Clarence A. Brimmer Scholarship.

In addition to her work with in the law school, Mackenzie has gained practical experience working as an extern in the United States Attorney’s Office in Casper, Wyo. for three consecutive summers. She has also served as an extern for the Honorable Robert Castor in the Circuit Court of Wyoming for the Second Judicial District.

Following law school, Mackenzie hopes to continue working in criminal prosecution in Wyoming.
