I earned my bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2015, then worked as a certified pubic accountant in Minneapolis at PricewaterhouseCoopers. While working, I also obtained my master's degree in business taxation.
With a background in taxation, but also a desire to continue learning, I decided to go back to school to pursue a legal education, which would enable me to practice law with an emphasis in estate planning - an area that combines both the law and taxation.
In law school, I have been involved in the Potter Law Club as treasurer and Phi Alpha Delta as vice justice. I am a legal writing and research teaching assistant and a member of Wyoming Law Review, where I published a co-authored piece in Volume 21. I also externed as a law clerk for the Honorable Troy Nielsen in the Waupaca County Circuit Court in Wisconsin and interned at the estate planning firm of Long Reimer Winegar LLP in Cheyenne.
I chose the University of Wyoming, as the small-town feel is more representative of my hometown of Iola, Wisconsin. Following graduation, I hope to practice law in Wisconsin.
