The University of Wyoming College of Law faculty boasts expertise in nearly every area of the law, allowing the college to offer a wide range of learning opportunities unprecedented for a school of its size. Dedicated scholars and prolific writers, the College of Law faculty have published over 60 articles, nearly 10 books and several book chapters in just the last three years alone. Their dedication to scholarship is matched by their commitment to teaching, with several faculty members winning awards for classroom excellence.  Faculty members combine excellence in teaching and scholarship with a commitment to service with faculty members providing service at local, state, national, and international levels and presenting in venues around the world.

Faculty & Staff Highlight

Wyoming State Bar Award
Professor Diane Courselle was the recipient of the Wyoming State Bar Pro Bono Award for 2011. The Wyoming State Bar annually selects attorneys throughout the state to recognize their pro bono services. Professor Courselle was selected in her capacity as the Defender Aid Faculty Supervisor at the College of Law. She was nominated for the award by Tina Olsen, Appellate Counsel for the Wyoming Public Defender's Office. The nomination was supported by Dean Steve Easton in acknowledgment of the countless hours that she devotes to the students who represent the clinic clients, ensuring they get the best representation possible. In addition, Professor Courselle was also named the Winston S. Howard Distinguished Professor of Law for 2011-2014.

 

Employee of the Year
Vonnie Jenkin was selected as the 2011 Employee of the Year for the University of Wyoming.  Vonnie was nominated by her fellow staff members for her outstanding work and dedication to the College of Law. Vonnie serves as the Information Technology Specialist & Law Faculty Assistant, and has been at the College of Law for almost 13 years.
