Judge Barrett Estate Funds Student Trial Experience

BP America Donates $25,000 to UW’s Energy Law Center

June 27, 2014 — The University of Wyoming College of Law’s Center for Law and Energy Resources in the Rockies (CLERR) recently received a $25,000 gift from BP America to develop CLERR’s summer energy law institute.

Wyoming Center for the Study of Written Advocacy Announces Grant Recipients

June 6, 2014 — The Wyoming Center for the Study of Written Advocacy has announced the recipients of the grants for presentations at the upcoming Legal Writing Institute (LWI) Conference in Philadelphia.

International Advocacy

April 9, 2014 — The University of Wyoming College of Law houses the only experiential learning program in the Mountain West Region focused on international human rights protection and promotion. Under the supervision of experienced lawyers, Wyoming students have the opportunity to apply what they are learning in the classroom to pressing legal issues in the best interests of real clients both in the United States and abroad in the International Human Rights Clinic.

2014 Honors Banquet

March 14, 2014 — The University of Wyoming College of Law will be hosting the annual Honor’s Banquet on April 5th, 2014, at 6:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie. At the Honor’s Banquet we recognize all of the named scholarship recipients in the current law school classes, including the announcement of the prestigious Brimmer Scholarship and the inductees of the Order of the Coif.

February 12, 2014 — The College of Law Women's Law Forum in conjunction with the Wyoming State Bar, the Wyoming Trial Lawyer's Women's Law Caucus, and Woodhouse Roden Nethercott, LLC is hosting a Women's Law Summit Meeting on April 4, 2014.

Rewarding Integrity, Professionalism, and Scholarship – The William T. Schwartz Endowment

February 7, 2014 — The William T. Schwartz Professor of Law endowment is awarded to a distinguished member of the law faculty who demonstrates a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and scholarship. The professor is chosen by the dean of the College of Law in consultation with the Schwartz family. The professor holds this prestigious position for 5 years, with the chance of renewal if there is continued evidence of high standards of teaching, scholarship, and integrity. The funds from this endowment can be used to enhance salary and to support the recipient’s teaching and scholarship activities.

CSWA Legal Writers' Retreat 2014

January 28, 2014 — The Center for the Study of Written Advocacy at the University of Wyoming College of Law has announced the second annual Writers' Retreat.

Richard E. Day Client Counseling Competition

January 16, 2014 — The College of Law is hosting the Richard E. Day Client Counseling Competition. This particular competition provides students of every level a chance to develop his or her client interviewing techniques and problem solving skills.The competition is scheduled for January 21-23, 2014.
