December 2, 2015 — The University of Wyoming College of Law will be taking its unique trial practice program to Anchorage, Alaska in the summer of 2016. Students from all law schools are invited to participate.

November 24, 2015 — Last month, the University of Wyoming Center for International Human Rights Law and Advocacy shared in a major legal victory for human rights in Uganda. On October 30th, Uganda’s Supreme Court handed down a landmark decision reinstating a closely watched lawsuit on preventable maternal mortality, which seeks access to justice and the fulfillment of health rights for expectant mothers.

November 11, 2015 — Two students in the University of Wyoming College of Law Prosecution Assistance Program (PAP) argued before the Wyoming Supreme Court on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Bradford Coates and Jonathan Lebsack represented the State of Wyoming.

October 6, 2015 — October 12, 2015 marks the beginning of Law Week at the University of Wyoming College of Law. Law Week is a forum that features speakers from a wide range of backgrounds in government, academia, public interest groups, and private practice.

October 1, 2015 — Effective October 1st, 2015, Professor Michael Duff will be stepping into his new role at the College of Law as Associate Dean for Student Programs and External Relations.

September 30, 2015 — Professor Tara Righetti recently presented a paper at the Energy Policy Research Conference (EPRC) which took place September 10-11 in Denver. The paper entitled "The Impact of Social Cost of Carbon Analyses in the Development of Western Region Energy Projects," was co-authored by Professor Temple Stoellinger of the University of Wyoming Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources, and Kipp Coddington of the Carbon Management Institute.

September 8, 2015 — Professor Michael Duff was nominated to become a fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers. The CWCL was established to honor those attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice in the field of workers’ compensation.

July 1, 2015 — The University of Wyoming College of Law begins a new chapter in its history as Dean Klint Alexander takes the reins July 1, 2015.

May 13, 2015 — The UW College of Law graduation commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buchanan Center for Performing Arts.

May 13, 2015 — University of Wyoming College of Law student Brian Annes appeared in an oral argument before the Wyoming Supreme Court today in Cheyenne. Annes is part of the Energy, Environmental, and Natural Resources Law Clinic (EENR) which is wrapping up its inaugural year at the College of Law.

May 12, 2015 — 3L Laurie Rogers argued before the Wyoming Supreme Court today in Cheyenne, Wyo.. As a student in the Prosecution Assistance Program at the College of Law, Rogers argued on behalf of the State in conjunction with the Attorney General’s Office.

March 16, 2015 — Professor Noah Novogrodsky and University of Wyoming College of Law International Human Rights Clinic student Sam Forshner recently traveled to San Francisco to work on an amicus brief in the equal marriage case scheduled to be heard at the Supreme Court on April 28th.

March 13, 2015 — The University of Wyoming College of Law will be hosting the annual Honor’s Banquet on Friday, March 27th, 2015 at the Laramie Country Club.

March 12, 2015 — The University of Wyoming College o f Law has moved up 21 spots in the U.S. News and World Report 2016 rankings of best law schools and is in its highest ranked place of 108th. The College of Law has worked hard for this increase, and the upward trend in the rankings is one that the law school hopes to continue on its path to crack the top 100.
March 12, 2015 — The University of Wyoming College of Law team competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in the Rocky Mountain region at Denver University, February 20-21, 2015. The team included Brianne Phillips, Nick Bjorklund, Kayla Spencer, David Demic and Martha Tate.

February 24, 2015 — The student team representing the University of Wyoming College of Law at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, hosted by the Pace University Law School, had a successful run competing this past weekend, Feb. 19-21, 2015.

February 13, 2015 — The University of Wyoming College of Law has been ranked in the top tier of best law schools for practical training by PreLaw Insider.

January 28, 2015 — The Center for the Study of Written Advocacy of the University of Wyoming College of Law and the Department of Psychology of the University of Wyoming invite proposals for presentations at the first Psychology of Persuasion Conference, to be held September 18-19, 2015 at the University of Wyoming College of Law in Laramie, Wyoming.
