October 16, 2017 — The University of Wyoming College of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Danielle Cover is the recipient of a University of Wyoming Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards recognize and reward the efforts of faculty, staff, students, and community members to create and support an environment where diversity, equity, and inclusion are valued both on campus and in the community.

October 11, 2017 — Professor Stephen M. Feldman, the Jerry W. Housel / Carl F. Arnold Distinguished Professor of Law and Constitutional Law expert at the University of Wyoming College of Law, recently published a new book, The New Roberts Court, Donald Trump, and our Failing Constitution (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017).
October 9, 2017 — Salt Creek Energy Excellence Scholar Megan Romano recently accepted an offer to join full-service, national law firm Holland & Hart as an associate in the firm’s Cheyenne office in the Fall of 2018. Romano recently concluded a summer clerk position in Holland & Hart’s Environment, Energy & Natural Resources practice, one of the largest environmental and natural resources teams in the country, as part of the firm’s Summer Associate Program.

September 19, 2017 — The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Professor Suzan M. Pritchett, an attorney from Laramie, has received the Champion of Justice for Legal Services Award. Danielle Cover, Assistant Professor and Director of the Civil Legal Services Clinic at the University Of Wyoming College Of Law, presented the award last week during the Bar’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

June 28, 2017 — Associate Professor Melissa Ballengee Alexander recently spoke at the 40th Annual Health Law Professors Conference which took place June 8-10 in Atlanta, Georgia.
May 9, 2017 — The College of Law has an unprecedented amount of students from the class of 2017 accepted into the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps Program following graduation. Four students Christina White, Kevin Farrelly, Hannah Toland, and Kacy Dixon will embark on a legal military career in a field that is extremely competitive to enter.

May 5, 2017 — Professor Steve Easton was honored by the Ewing T. Kerr American Inns of Court chapter with the Thomas G. Gorman Excellence in Professionalism Award for 2017.

May 1, 2017 — The College of Law is pleased to recognize Casey Terrell, of Pinedale, as the recipient of the Clarence A. Brimmer Scholarship for 2017-2018.
March 22, 2017 — The University of Wyoming College of Law will host the third annual Spence Law Firm Historic Trial on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the College of Law Large Moot Court Room (Room 178).
March 13, 2017 — The College of Law will be hosting the annual Honors Banquet on April 7, 2017 at the UW Conference Center at the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie.

February 22, 2017 — Third-year law student Halinka Zolcik has been awarded a fellowship position with the Immigration Justice Corps, one of the most prestigious legal fellowship positions in the country.

February 20, 2017 — The University of Wyoming College of Law team competed in the regional round the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition February 16-19, 2017. The Rocky Mountain Regional was hosted by the University of Denver Sturm School of Law, and was one of the six regional rounds hosted in the United States.
January 24, 2017 — Students in the Defender Aid Program have been pursuing resentencing for their clients in the aftermath of the United States Supreme Court decision on Miller v. Alabama.
