The University of Wyoming is located in Laramie, a friendly, unpretentious community of 30,000 nestled between the Laramie and Snowy Mountains of southeastern Wyoming. Residents have easy access to the finest outdoor recreation activities in the country, including superb hiking, skiing (both downhill and cross-country), snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, camping, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing.
Additionally, Laramie features two farmer's markets during the summer, a variety of sporting activities (go Pokes!) and cultural activities. And if you need large scale cultural activities, Fort Collins and Denver are only an hour or two (respectively) away!
