Methods of Attracting UW Law Students

  • Recruit first-year students - It is beneficial to make a connection in the first summer. Lots of employers recruit 2Ls in the fall, as compared to only a few recruiting 1Ls in the spring. By providing a first-year with a positive experience, you will increase student awareness in the next fall because she will share her positive view of your firm with her classmates.
  • Be proactive in contacting our office and make sure your alumni get involved. We have lots of opportunities for your attorneys to participate in events and make meaningful connections with UW Law students in the process.
    • Volunteer for Mock Interview Programs (fall and spring)
    • Speak at or sponsor programs
    • Mentor
    • Sponsor a "field trip" to your office
  • Contact student organizations directly to co-sponsor or suggest programs.
