In an effort to educate its citizens, the United States government has created coloring books on all sorts of topics. It's true! Nearly every subject you can imagine has been immortalized in black and white drawings meant to be colored in. Titles include Biosecurity for Birds, Superfund, Coastie the Coast Guard Safety Dog, Thirstin's Wacky Water Adventure, and Shrimply Fun! The Shrimp Fishery in the Gulf of Mexico.
In order to celebrate this wealth of government information, we are having a coloring contest. Between now and Monday, March 15, 2010 you may choose a government coloring page, color it and enter it in our contest. This contest is not just for law students; you may tell your friends and family about it as well.
A selection of coloring sheets is available at the circulation desk. You may also choose your own from the links below. Please return your completed artwork to the circulation desk.
Two winners will be randomly chosen from those who enter to win a prize. There is no limit on the number of coloring sheets you may enter. Coloring sheets that are entered may be displayed in the library.
We wish you safe, educational, and environmentally-friendly coloring!
Thanks to the Government Information and Law Department at Miami University Libraries for this fun idea (http://www.lib.muohio.edu/news_and_notes/Gov-Docs-Coloring-Contest).
