The George William Hopper Law Library is located in the College of Law building at the University of Wyoming. We are open to the public for researching, browsing, borrowing, or studying. While our collection is primarily geared toward law students and legal professionals, there is much here that is of general interest.
Our collection is accessible through our catalog, WebHopper. Our treatises, legal periodicals, and leisure materials may be checked out for up to four weeks. Reserves and audio visual materials may be checked out for limited time periods.
Most of our online database collections are available to anyone within the building. These databases contain statutes, case law, regulations, and secondary sources. Offsite access is generally not available to non-university patrons.
Reference librarians are available to direct any legal research questions you may have. We can also be contacted through email at email@example.com or by telephone at 307-766-5737.
There is a research guide available from the library entitled How to Research a Legal Problem: A Guide for Non-Lawyers as well as a list of web resources, Legal Resources for the Public.
Our building is a wireless building, and Internet connectivity is available throughout using any valid email address. Printing is available on the printer in the Reference area but limited to short print runs. Larger electronic documents can be downloaded or emailed for home use.
Copy machines are available across from the Circulation Desk. Copies are $.10/copy.
We provide interlibrary loan services for current law school faculty, staff, and students. Non-law school affiliates may fill interlibrary loan requests through the local public library.
The library is located within the College of Law building on the UW campus, off of Willett Drive, near 19th Street. On the campus map, the College of Law is at D19. Metered parking spaces are available in the parking lot in front of the College.
