UW Libraries will re-open Coe Library Monday, August 10th with limited hours. Please be patient with us as we continue to put up signage for social distancing, suggested traffic flow, etc.

 
EXTENDED DUE DATES:

In order to better serve our students, faculty, staff, and all other patrons, UW Libraries is pleased to extend due dates for materials, including ILL loaned items, to August 17. This excludes equipment and course reserves. UW Libraries will continue to automatically extend due dates on items that were checked out and not billed prior to our closure.

Library materials can be returned at the external book drop located at 14th Street and Ivinson Avenue. Patrons can renew items that have not gone overdue or reached their renewal limits at "Login + Accounts". Equipment can be returned to the Help Desk in Coe Library.

8/3/20 update: We will transition back to normal loan periods/due dates for all items borrowed from today onward. This includes our usual shorter due dates for Interlibrary Loan, Prospector, DVDs and media, and Popular Reading items as well as our faculty and staff semester due date for most other Libraries materials.

CURBSIDE@COE:

8/3/20 update: The Libraries Curbside@Coe service will end on Friday, August 7^th. We greatly appreciate the UW community’s use and support of this service during the campus closure.

Coe Library will reopen at 1 pm on Monday, August 10^th. We encourage continued use of our Hold for Me service to have items available for quick pick up at our Help Desk. If you are unable to visit the Libraries and need another library patron to pick up items for you, please complete and submit a Linked Patron form.

Starting Monday, June 1, UW Libraries will begin offering contactless pickup service for faculty, staff, and students. UW community members may request circulating materials from Coe Library, Brinkerhoff Geology Library, the Learning Resource Center, and Library Annex and arrange to pick up outside Coe Library.

To use CURBSIDE@COE, locate available materials in the Libraries Catalog and use the Hold for Me button to place a request. When materials are ready, a notice will be sent with instructions to contact the Coe Help Desk at 307-766-3190 to make an appointment for pick up. These walk up, contactless appointments are available 10 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.

INTER-LIBRARY LOAN & PROSPECTOR:

Prospector lending and borrowing is available again -- but limited to borrowing digital materials. 

UW Libraries have stopped borrowing and lending physical materials through inter-library loan (ILL) with exceptions for Wyoming libraries. We continue to borrow and lend electronic materials, such as articles and eBooks.

UW LIBRARIES FACILITIES & HOURS:

Note: IT Coe Computer Lab – open Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hours are subject to change. WyoOne ID required for entrance.

• Geology Library – closed; patrons should use ILL and Hold for Me to request items
• Learning Resource Center (LRC) – closed until further notice

• Studio Coe – closed until further notice. Full-time staff and student staff will be assisting patrons remotely Monday - Friday, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Patrons can leave a question with a voicemail message by calling (307) 766-7002 or by emailing coeref@uwyo.edu. 
• Coe Student Innovation Center – closed until further notice
• Coe Library Level 6 (ILL and Research & Discovery Management) - physical location closed to patrons until further notice. For questions, please email libcirc@uwyo.edu or call (307) 766-3170.
• STEP Tutoring - closed for summer, but online tutoring through NetTutor available. 
• Writing Center - starting June 1st, remote services available: Mon., Wed., Thurs., Fri. 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Tues. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Hours are subject to change per recommendations from UW leadership and UW Libraries administration.

Research help, reference, and instruction are all available online, as are our large collections of eBooks, electronic journals, and streaming media. If items you need are not online, you may request scanned versions via interlibrary loan (ILL) or request the purchase of an electronic version.
