Stephen Boss
IT, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Librarian
Stephen Boss, an associate librarian at the University of Wyoming Libraries, is the
recipient of UW’s 2022 Agnes Milstead Distinguished Librarianship Award and this year's MPLA Innovator Award from the Mountain Plains Library Association. The Milstead Award recognizes Boss for his professionalism, enthusiasm and dedication to UW Libraries
and libraries around the state. He focuses on using librarianship, technology and
his business background to help support librarians and entrepreneurs in their communities
to expand the economy in Wyoming.
A librarian at UW since 2002, Boss has made many valuable contributions. He played
a pivotal role in establishing Studio Coe and One Button Studio in Coe Library. Currently, he co-leads the Wyoming Library to Business program and serves on the UW Libraries Diversity Council.
Orrin Koenig
Orrin KoenigLibrary Assistant, Senior, User Services
Orrin Koenig, a senior library assistant, is the recipient of the University of Wyoming Libraries Outstanding Staff Award for his contributions in 2021.
The Outstanding Staff Award, funded by the McMurry-Spieles Excellence Fund, honors
a UW Libraries staff member who has “demonstrated exceptional service to UW Libraries
and made significant contributions to the university and/or the community.” Recipients
of this award are chosen by a committee of their peers.
Koenig has worked in UW Libraries’ User Services since 2019. His job duties include
overseeing delivery distributions; filling in at the Circulation Help Desk; assembling
and disassembling shelving and furniture; and solving miscellaneous problems as they
arise.
Katharine Teykl
Katharine TeyklDigital Scholarship Librarian
Katharine Teykl joined UW Libraries as the Digital Scholarship Librarian in July.
She earned a dual Master of Library Science and Master of Arts in Musicology from
Indiana University-Bloomington in 2022. Previously, she served as the graduate assistant
for the HathiTrust Research Center and as a technical services assistant for the Latin
American Music Center at the William & Gayle Cook Music Library. Outside of work,
Katharine enjoys trying out vegan recipes, hiking, learning random facts about composers,
and crossing movies and shows off of her watch list.
Kathryn Senn
Kathryn SennInnovative and Immersive Technologies Librarian
Kathryn joined the University of Wyoming Libraries as the Innovative and Immersive
Technologies Librarian in October. She holds a Master’s in Library and Information
Science from the University of Texas at Austin. At the University of Wyoming, she
will be working to support curricula through the use of new technologies, such as
Virtual and Augmented Reality. She has previous experience working with students as
a Teaching Assistant and in Information Literacy through the creation of a LibGuide
on Misinformation and Disinformation for her undergraduate institution, Eastern Michigan
University. Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys cooking, creative writing, playing video
games, and finding socks with fun patterns on them.
