FAQ's

If a resident is having any issues using the laundry card swipe (WyoOne card) or a laundry machine is not working please have the desk directly contact us at vending@uwyo.edu or call us at 766-4104.  We need as much info as possible.

For example location, date, time, issue, the amount lost, and machine #.

Washing machines should only be filled ¾ of the way full.  If a resident stuffs a washing machine all the way full it will most likely lock up.  If a laundry machine locks up with laundry inside it please tell the resident to wait 10 minutes and the door on the laundry machine will open automatically, but they will not have a clean load and will have to rewash their clothes.

Pods do not fully dissolve in our washing machines.  Residents should use liquid high-efficiency detergent in the washing machines otherwise the resident's clothes will not get cleaned very well.

Please remind residents that if a resident swipes the reader and then vandalizes the machine we have a record through the swipe of who last used the machine.  We (and the police) will go to that person first to recoup damages.

If a resident is having any issues using the vending machines the desk should directly contact us at vending@uwyo.edu or call us at 766-4104.  We need as much info as possible.

For example location, date, time, issue, the amount lost, and type of machine. They need to be as specific as possible on the machine – for example, is it a vending machine (Beverage, Cold Food, or Snack) or is it the Pepsi machine.  This helps us get the right technician to the machine and we know which machine to go to.

If a resident uses cash and needs a refund please direct them to go to the Union information desk or the Central scheduling desk in the classroom to get their cash refund if it is $5 or below.  If it is above $5 please have them come to the vending office in Hill Hall to get their refund.  Pepsi gives all of their refunds in cash – so the resident would go to the refund points mentioned above for any Pepsi refund.  At the refund point the resident will fill out a refund request card and the desk will give them back the refund.

If a resident uses their Wyo One Card (campus dollars) and needs a refund they need to email vending@uwyo.edu.  We need as much info as possible including W#, date/time, the amount lost, location, and machine (snack, cold food, beverage, or Pepsi).

If a resident uses their debit card or credit card and needs a refund please have them call our credit card provider (USAT) at 1-888-561-4748 (option 1).  Just an FYI – their bank may place a hold up of up to $8 for a single transaction because we have our machines set to do multiple vends so they only have to swipe their cards once if they are buying more than one product from a machine.  The hold will drop off in most cases in 24 hours depending on their banks' terms.

We have only one deposit machine for loading campus dollars on students' WyoOne cards called PHIL (Payment Headquarters In Location) located in the basement of Washakie beside the ATM machine by the elevator.

Residents can reload their campus dollars in 3 ways:

  1.   PHIL machine:  accepts $20, $10, $5, $1

  2.   Credit/Debit card:  Online – http://uwyo.edu/idoffice - $20 minimum deposit

  3.   Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Check:  WyoOne ID office, IT Building, first floor
