David Perry, Facility Director

Dr. Perry’s experience is primarily in Molecular Biology with expertise in protein purification, DNA purification and sequencing, cDNA library construction, cloning and expression of recombinant proteins, and gene regulation.  His research has ranged from the biogenesis of the yeast mitochondrial ribosome, regulation of the cytochrome P4501a1 gene (chemical carcinogenesis), and pre-implantation signaling in bovine reproduction, to spider silk protein structure.  He has taught General Biochemistry (lecture courses) and protein purification techniques (UW laboratory class).  Although Dr. Perry no longer works full-time as Director of the Macromolecular Analysis Core, he is always available to field questions about the available instrumentation and relevant protocols.  He can be reached by email (below) or phone (766-3688).
