In accordance with the University of Wyoming's requirements, all PhD students must complete 72 credit hours, 42 of which must be course-credits.  Courses taken during a master's program may or may not count toward this requirement; check with your faculty advisor to determine if any of your completed courses are eligible.  Coursework for the MSE program consists of one required course, in addition to elective courses chosen from the class listing below.

Required Coursework

1.  Materials Science and Engineering Seminar

This is a one-credit course that graduate students in the MSE program are required to attend each semester.  The program will bring in several outside speakers each semester.  In addition, the program will coordinate with the member departments to leverage relevant materials related speakers brought in by the individual departments.  In the intervening weeks, the seminar class will meet in a journal club setting.
