Most of our graduate students are funded on teaching assistantships. Some research assistantships are also available, depending on grant availability. Incoming students interested in receiving departmental funding must complete the Graduate Assistantship Application form. Please email your completed form to the graduate coordinator, Lori Dockter. Applicants should  discuss their funding needs and preferences in their personal statement, part of the online application.

Tuition and Fees

The University of Wyoming was ranked 11th for "America's Best Value Colleges" by Forbes Magazine!  Tuition is low but the delivery is high.  Almost all mathematics graduate students are funded through teaching and research assistantships.

Master's student stipend: $12.078  Tuition, fees and health insurance are provided.

PhD student stipend: $16,785.  Tuition, fees and health insurance are provided.
