Research Interests:
Our research efforts are devoted to the development of novel understandings of acoustic wave physics in complex geometries, design and engineering of the highly sensitive ultrasonic transducers, and automatic data interpretation frameworks with machine learning. We are using sonic and ultrasonics to ensure oilfield safe production and to deduce subsurface compositions for oil reserve estimation with high resolution imaging. Other applications includes Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) of critical structures & infrastructures, with a particular focus on civil, mechanical, oil & gas and aerospace structures and systems.
