Assistant Professor: Marketing

Fall, 2014

The Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Wyoming invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track Assistant or senior Assistant Professor of Marketing, subject to funding. The teaching load will total two courses per semester, at the undergraduate, MBA and Ph.D. levels, primarily in the areas of marketing management and strategy. The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated the potential and/or ability to publish research in top quality journals, to teach effectively in undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute to the Ph.D. in Marketing and Sustainable Business Practices program. Interest and expertise in sustainable business practices, sales, energy and/or ethics are a plus. Salary and benefits are competitive with AACSB accredited schools. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the appropriate field from an AACSB- or similarly accredited university, with degree completed by the time of appointment. Prior industry experience is valued. Candidates should have an interest in providing expertise to the State of Wyoming, as well as to the discipline. Finally, candidates should be committed to maintaining and enhancing a productive and collegial environment. Individuals who wish to contribute to the research synergies of the current faculty are encouraged to apply. The appointment will begin August 2014. Department faculty will be attending the 2013 American Marketing Association Summer Educators’ Meeting. Arrangements can be made for qualified candidates not planning to attend.

The College of Business

The UW College of Business is AACSB accredited and moved into a $50 million office and classroom complex in Fall 2010. The college currently offers undergraduate degrees in business administration, marketing, management, accounting, economics and finance and several minors, including entrepreneurship and international business. The college offers masters of business administration degrees, masters degrees in accounting, economics, and finance, and Ph.D. degrees in economics and marketing. Emphasis areas of the college include Sustainable Business Practices, entrepreneurship, business ethics, energy and natural resource economics.
