The Language Department strongly encourages all students to spend an academic year at an approved university in the country of their language major. Appropriate credit is available for the semester(s) spent abroad so students will not hinder their progress toward graduation.

Study Abroad Opportunities
Students in all disciplines are eligible for the exchange with Saratov State University. The Faculty Advisor for the Wyoming-Saratov Student Exchange Program is Joseph Krafczik, who can be contacted at saratov@uwyo.edu or by phone under the number (307)766-2620 or via FAX under the number (307)766-2727.
Scholarships are also available to help offset the cost of studying abroad.
Graduate students might consider applying for the Fulbright Program to experience study in a foreign country.
With the help of the student's major adviser, the department head and the Admissions and Financial Aids offices, the International Student Services Office (see above) assists in all Study Abroad application procedures before the student's departure.
