Please read Chapter 5 of the textbook, up to and including Section 5.4 (which is the

Please bring a blank Large Blue Examination Booklet to the final exam.
You will also be required to present a photo id card to the instructor.
The exam will be held on Tues May 2, 1:15-3:15pm in our usual classroom (EN 2070).
You are also permitted a 'cheat sheet' (one side of an 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of
paper with your handwriting) and a calculator. A Sample Exam is now available
through the link below.

I will be out of town next week. During my absence you may try to contact me by
email regarding administrative issues, but please refer all content-related questions to
Dan May, Ross Hall 245. He expects to hold office hours on Mon May 1, 2-4pm; Tues May 2,
10am-12noon. He is a competent instructor, has experience with this course, and would be
happy to answer questions for you.

Please remember that you are expected to be on class on time 1:20pm, and you should not expect
to leave before 2:35pm. During class your conversation should be limited to class discussion
only. Questions about the UW policy on classroom deportment are answered in the document
available through the first link below (Students and Teachers Working Together).
