MPA Tuition Rates

This information is meant to help you estimate the tuition cost of attendance for the MPA Program, which consists of a total of 39 credit hours.

On-Campus Rates

The University of Wyoming Admissions Office posts current information for on-campus tuition rates as applied to Graduate Students. On-campus rates and fees apply to courses taken on the main campus at Laramie and do not include the cost of books.

UW Distance Education Rates

Outreach Credit Programs lists current information as well as upcoming adjustments to tuition rates as applied to Graduate Students. Outreach campus rates and fees apply to courses taken on-line an in the outreach format and do not include the cost of books.

 

Financial Assistance Options

  1. Campus and Departmental Graduate Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis and generally cover: all tuition, most fees, student health insurance and a monthly stipend in exchange for working within the department in teaching and research capacities. To apply, indicate your interest and answer the questions in the “Program Questions” section of your UW application. Graduate Assistantship applications received by March 15th will receive priority consideration for the following academic year. Applications are accepted year-round, on a rolling basis, however, applications received by the March 15th deadline will receive priority consideration in the assistantship award process.
  2. SPPAIS Scholarships are sponsored by the School of Politics, Public Affairs, and International Studies--the school the MPA program is housed in. Most scholarships offered here are for current MPA students, but once admitted to the program, they can be used to further your education in the MPA program.
  3. UW Financial Aid also offers information on scholarships, loans and grants for graduate students and explains the processes required.
  4. UW Distance Education offers several scholarships directed at Outreach students.
