Students must be successfully admitted to both the Law School and the MPA program. Application requirements are the same as MPA students, though MPA/JD students are allowed to substitute their LSAT score in place of the GRE.
Students must complete the core and option-core elements of the MPA Degree Requirements, but may apply up to 4 Law courses (12 hours) in place of 4 of the 5 required elective requirements for the 1995 calendar and up to 3 courses (9 hours) in place of 3 of the 4 required electives for the 2012 calendar. The Law School may approve up to 3 MPA courses (9 hours) to the Law transcript with advisor approval.
All Graduate Faculty Regulations will apply to all the courses on the MPA/JD degree Program of Study and students will be required to finish the same graduation requirements as all other graduate students.
