Alla Latchininsky is originally from St. Petersburg, Russia. From 1974 1978 Mrs. Latchininsky studied piano performance, music pedagogy and choral conducting at the St. Petersburg Musical College and where she graduated with Honors. In 1978 she was accepted to the Moscow Musical Pedagogical Institute and graduated in 1984 with degree in Piano Pedagogy and Music Education. Before coming to the United States in 1995, Mrs. Latchininsky taught piano and choral conducting and worked as an accompanist in the St. Petersburg Musical College for 11 years. In 1998 she started a private piano studio teaching piano, group theory lessons and classes in music history and literature. She has been an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Music at the University of Wyoming since 1998.
