Hillary Schefter

A native of Colorado, Hillary Schefter has established herself as an up-and-coming harpist in the United States. She can be found in the summers driving over mountain passes with harp in tow to play classical music with some great people with festivals and companies such as the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Colorado Music Festival, and Boulder's Mahlerfest.

She has recently performed in such orchestras as the Minnesota Orchestra, The Syracuse Symphony, New World Symphony as well as the National Repertory Orchestra, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra.

Hillary completed her undergraduate and masters degrees at the Eastman School of Music with a Performers Certificate and Arts Leadership Program Certificate. Some of her major teachers and inspirations include Kathleen Bride, Nancy Allen, Gretchen Van Hoesen, Kathy Bundock Moore, Rachel Ellins and Ann Marie Liss.

A graduate of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Hillary returns to her place of birth every week to volunteer her time playing harp for the babies, parents, nurses and doctors of the NICU. Hillary also volunteers in the NICU at Rose Medical Center.
