Covid 19 Response

Covid 19 Response Update, Fall 2021

Although COVID-19 conditions have improved significantly with the availability of effective vaccines, things have not yet returned to pre-pandemic conditions. The health and safety of UW String Project students, families, and teachers are of paramount importance. Below is information on some specific topics related to our response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This information is subject to change, based on University of Wyoming policies and COVID-19 conditions.

  • In-person instruction – Beginning in the Fall semester of 2021, the UWSP will return to in person instruction for lessons and ensembles.

  • COVID-19 protocols – The UW String Project will follow all University of Wyoming protocols and procedures. This includes masks and distancing when appropriate.

  • Scholarships – The UW String Project has been awarded a grant from the MaggieGeorge Foundation of Denver for 2021-22. This allows us to offer scholarships to students whose family income may have been impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic and others with financial need. If you can pay the full tuition, please do so, as your tuition dollars are especially important at this time. However, please do not allow financial challenges to eliminate musical study through this program! Please contact UWSP Director Jim Przygocki if you need financial assistance.

  • Beginner classes, Fall 2021 – We are again not able to start a new class of beginners in the Fall semester 2021. We are committed to providing quality musical instruction and experiences for our current continuing students.

  • Changes – Please note that dates, schedules, procedures, etc. are subject to change. We will inform families via email and our website of any changes.

  • Other questions or concerns? – Please contact your teacher, UWSP Director Jim Przygocki or supervising teacher Sherry Sinift if you have other questions or concerns.
