Practice Room & Locker Policies

Practice Rooms

The practice rooms are reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

Regarding rooms that are reserved, but not in use during the reservation:

If the room is not taken by the person who has it reserved within the first 10 minutes of their reservation (10 minutes past the hour, regardless of whether or not the student has a reservation spanning two hours), that room is up for grabs. Leaving personal belongings in a practice room does not mean it is in use.

Students enrolled in:

• 1 credit hour (Section 1) lessons are allowed to reserve one hour of practice room time per day
• 2 credit hour (Section 2) lessons are allowed to reserve two hours of practice room time per day

Please do not leave instruments or personal items unattended at any time.

Lockers

Lockers are available through Trish Schumacher in the Music Department for $15 a semester and must be checked out through her.

The new lockers are instrument specific and will only be able to accommodate the needs for University and personal instruments. If more space is needed, a second locker (one of the existing metal lockers) can be issued at no charge.

To be sure everyone is accommodated, lockers must be checked out through Philip. Lockers claimed without being properly checked out will have their locks cut and their contents put into Lost and Found, with no exceptions.
