COMMUNITY MEMORIAL SERVICE

More than 3,000 persons attended a community memorial service for eight UW students who died in a highway accident on Sept. 16. The students remembered at the service were Justin M. Lambert-Belanger, 20, Timmins, Ontario, Cody B. Brown, 21, Hudson, Colo., Kyle N. Johnson, 20, Riverton, Wyo., Joshua D. Jones, 22, Salem, Ore., Morgan J. McLeland, 21, Gillette, Wyo., Kevin L. Salverson, 19, Cheyenne, Wyo., Nicholas J. Schabron, 20, Laramie, Wyo., and Shane E. Shatto, 19, Douglas, Wyo.  Speakers included Wyoming Gov. Jim Geringer, UW President Philip L. Dubois, UW Athletics Director Lee Moon, UW head track coach Don Yentes, UW head cross country coach Jim Sanchez and students Jennifer Vessa, Dara Delgado and Joe Hess. The program was held in the Area-Auditorium.
