Friday, Oct. 23, 7:30 p.m. -- A cappella ensemble The King's Singers will perform as part of the UW Cultural Programs fall concert series in the Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets cost $28 for the public and $24 for students and senior citizens. Saturday, Oct. 24, 11 a.m. -- Walk a Mile in Her Shoes will educate men about gender violence and raise money for the Albany County SAFE Project. After the speakers, the men will put on high heels and walk in women's shoes around Prexy's Pasture. Saturday, Oct. 24, 1 p.m. -- James Surls, nationally known artist, will give an art talk on level 5 of William Robertson Coe Library. Free. Saturday, Oct. 24, 6 p.m. -- The UW Art Museum will host its 17th annual benefit ball, "Gala 2009: A Highland Fling," in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.
