Wyoming Public Radio Launches Podcast

July 26, 2006 -- Beginning Thursday, July 27, Wyoming Public Radio will offer a podcast of its weekly news magazine "Open Spaces" for download to listeners' computers.

Once downloaded, the program can be listened to via personal computer or a mobile MP3 player. Listeners also can subscribe to the podcast and automatically download "Open Spaces" each week.

"Open Spaces" airs Fridays from 3-4 p.m., and offers in-depth, feature-length reporting devoted to Wyoming and western issues. In addition to stories by the award-winning WPR news department, every show highlights a weekly review of significant Wyoming issues in a roundtable discussion with newspaper editors and reporters from around the state.

Podcasts of "Open Spaces" are available through WPR's Web site, www.wyomingpublicradio.net. Subscribers also will gain access to a host of other public radio podcast sources, including National Public Radio, Public Radio International and American Public Media.
