About Wyoming Health Council - Faith Community Nursing

The Wyoming Health Council (WHC), a private, non-profit 501 (C)3 organization, was established in 1990. The mission of the WHC is to assure access to voluntary family planning and other health care services and to provide education in Wyoming that encompasses High Quality Care, Comprehensive/Wholistic Wellness, Informed Choice, Confidentiality, Community Collaboration, Prevention, Affordability, Cultural Competency, and Empowerment. Faith Community Nursing, also known as "Parish Nursing", is a specialized practice of professional nursing focusing on intentional care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting wholistic health and preventing or minimizing illness.
