Ivinson  Memorial Hospital: a key to our success as a school of nursing

The UW School of Nursing partnership with Ivinson Memorial Hospital (IMH) is a long and valued collegial relationship, dating back to the early days of the school. “The nursing administration and staff always welcome our students and faculty," says Susan Steiner, associate dean for clinical and community affairs. “Their positive attitude is appreciated by our students and supports the learning environment.” The IMH nurses enthusiastically share their expertise and serve as role models to our students, who consistently rate IMH clinical experiences as positive. "Our partnership with IMH is one of the keys to our success as a school of nursing. We look forward to many more years of partnership." says Steiner.

These experiences strengthen skills and improve students' confidence in the clinical area in time for a rigorous senior year.
