What drew you to nursing?

I really like nursing because I have always been passionate about medicine, and I also enjoy interacting with people and being able to help them in some way. Nursing is a good combination of those two passions that I have, and I believe that I will be able to do my part to benefit my community though nursing service. I also like the opportunities that the nursing field provides, as there are a lot of different options for furthering education as well as options for traveling or working internationally. This provides me with an opportunity to explore the world and be able to serve people at the same time.

What drew you to UW?

I was drawn to UW primarily because of the wonderful things I heard about the nursing program. Additionally, being granted a place in the program as a freshman admit was an amazing opportunity that makes me very excited to be here.

What drew you to Aspire?

I believe that being a member of the Aspire program will help me in becoming a well-rounded nurse. Being a good nurse is about more than just knowledge, it is also about leadership and professionalism. The Aspire program gives its members a head start on these skills and provides them with unique opportunities that otherwise they may not have had. I was very excited to be selected to be a part of this program, and I look forward to the many opportunities I will have to learn and grow with my peers.
