I have always been interested in the medical field. But in my junior year of high school, I participated in a nurse and nurse practitioner internship and was completely convinced it was the path for me. I believe nurses can provide care that is very impactful, and I can't wait to be one myself.
Being accepted as a freshman admit to the nursing program caused me to become very excited about attending the University of Wyoming. I also enjoyed the idea of being relatively close to home compared to the other colleges I was considering.
The Aspire program seemed like a great opportunity to become involved in the nursing community at the university while strengthening my leadership and professional skills at the same time. I enjoyed being a part of groups, teams and clubs in high school, and Aspire is allowing me to continue this involvement in college.

After a few years, I hope to return to school to become a nurse practitioner. I am ecstatic about my education here at the University of Wyoming and enthusiastic about my future career
