My grandpa was in the hospital for a long time when I was a freshman in high school. I remember visiting him and always being fascinated by how well the nurses took care of him. They were always so kind and comforting; they really impacted my family in a positive way during such a hard time. Ever since then, I knew I wanted to become a nurse and help to create a difference in others’ lives.
I fell in love with the University of Wyoming right when I took my first tour. The campus is absolutely beautiful, and I loved how I felt right at home with how friendly everyone was. The nursing program is incredible and very well respected, which made my decision to attend UW even easier!
Aspire caught my attention from the moment I learned about it. I have held many leadership positions in the past between sports and clubs, and I enjoy working with others to accomplish goals. I am so humbled and excited to be a part of Aspire and to develop as a leader in the nursing field. Aspire offers amazing opportunities to learn from current health care professionals and create positive changes in the community.

Being able to volunteer at the local hospital throughout high school exposed me to many different specialties in the medical field, including labor and delivery, mom/baby, pulmonary stroke recovery, and also cardiology. Also, I have shadowed a few general nurse practitioners.
As of right now, I plan to graduate from nursing school and continue in my nursing education to become a Nurse Practitioner! I know this plan might change, but I am so excited to see the plans God has for me as a nurse and beyond.
